CH-53 Sea Stallion (Sikorsky S-65) is a family of heavy lift transport helicopters designed and built by Sikorsky Aircraft. Originally developed for use by the United States Marine Corps, it is currently in service with Germany, Iran, Israel and Mexico.

CH-53GS

is an update of the 20 CH-53G in the late 1990s. Additional anti-missile measures, an improved communication and navigation system and two external fuel tanks have been added. They later received the first batch of T64-100 engines, which operated in the hot and high conditions that prevail in Afghanistan. They were also equipped with MG3 and M3M machine guns. It was also ordered that the update CH-53GS / GE provide combat search and rescue capability (CSAR) of 26 helicopters. These machines, called CH-53 GSG, received, among other things, the EloKa system to defend against anti-aircraft projectiles and increase range in connection with night flight capabilities and ground-independent navigation.
