The C-130 is by far the most successful and widespread tactical transport aircraft of the last forty years. Despite its age, no credible replacement is yet available, so the powerful four-engine Lockheed continues to serve in a variety of roles of at least 50 air forces. Hercules is subject to constant updates in electronic devices and in some versions structural changes in order to extend its service life, remains a symbol of military transport.

Lockheed MC-130H Combat Talon II was created by further development of MC-130E Combat Talon I. It has been in regular service since October 17, 1991. The machines are designed for operations over enemy territory at very low altitudes, especially at night and in bad weather. The main task of these aircraft is to deploy special units on enemy territory, conduct psychological warfare and special tasks in search operations. The main equipment on board is therefore installed in the bow radar AN / APQ-170, which allows flights in terrain copy mode, electronic terrain mapping and can also be used as a weather radar. A novelty is the infrared sensor AN / AAQ-15 under the bow of the aircraft, which allows flights without an onboard radar, especially when overcoming the enemy's air defenses. The Combat Talon II is also suitable for dropping a BLU-82 bomb weighing 6804 kg. The standard crew consists of two pilots, a navigator and a member for conducting electronic warfare, an on-board technician and two deckmen, taking care of the command of the commando, the transported material and its drop. The MC-130H serves the U.S. 352nd Special Operations Group.
