This set presents a detailed depiction of British colonial soldiers from the second half of the nineteenth century and the Sepojas, Indian infantry units in the service of the British government. The "Sepojs" were often recruited by the British East India Company, but they became most famous only in the British Indian Army. The uniforms of the soldiers in this set depict units from the Second Anglo-Afghan War, which began in 1878 and ended at the Battle of Kandahar in 1880.
