Ferrari 250 GTO is an Italian GT car manufactured in 1962-64. The name is derived from the volume of each cylinder, GTO means Gran Turismo Omologato. It was powered by a Ferrari Tipo 168/62 Colombo V12 engine. The car's chassis was based on the 250 GT SWB chassis, with small differences in frame structure and geometry to reduce weight, strengthen and reduce the chassis. The all-metal construction using the dry sump and six Weber 38DCN carburetors produced approximately 300 hp (296 hp, 221 kW). The transmission was a new five-speed Porsche unit. The aluminum body had a long, low nose, a small radiator inlet and significant nose air inlets with removable covers. The minimalist interior of the 250 GTO reflects the car's racing intentions.
