This vessel originally served off the southeast coast of Great Britain, known as the 'Hellfire Corner'. The motto of the RAF search and rescue service was 'The Sea Shall Not Have Them', which can be translated as 'the sea does not get them'. This Type 2 ship was once considered a perfect machine. Many flight crews owed their lives to the abilities of this boat and its crews, who were able to find and save them very quickly.
